Spooktacular Halloween Events on O‘ahu for Keiki and Families
These costume contests, trick-or-treating spots and spooky scavenger hunts are eerie-sistible.
W e love a good haunted house, pumpkin patches and all the fall activities too. But for those with younger kids, it’s usually all about the treats, not so much the tricks. So we’ve rounded up some places for keiki-friendly costume contests, trick-or-treating and even scavenger hunts. Here’s where to go for some good old-fashioned (and way less frightening!) fun in Honolulu and beyond.

Oct. 21 and 22, Oct. 28 and 29, 2 to 4 p.m.
Skeleton Key Hawai‘i returns to haunt our dreams with Night Terrors. Expect new sets, costumes and scares in a creepy dreamscape. The hair-raising haunt is created by Koa Theater’s practitioners whose attention to detail in sets, lights and performance is sure to make it an unforgettable experience. This year’s event has moved to a new location at Pearlridge Center in the former Inspiration furniture store space on the second floor. Night Terrors is recommended for ages 12 and up, but once again, there are keiki hours for ages 10 and younger which will feature very mild scares and candy stations throughout.
