Healthy appetizers get a festive look worth gobbling up.

Place these healthy treats out on the table an hour or so before dinner. Little kids can help themselves to crunchy vegetables and tasty dip.

Directions

  1. Cut a turkey head out of construction paper. Then let kids decorate their own with googly eyes, red felt and orange construction paper beaks. Let them get creative with other accessories.
  2. Glue or tape them on to small glass containers or clear plastic cups. We used small votives we found in a craft store.
  3. Fill the cups halfway with hummus. Not only is it a treat, but it keeps plastic cups from tipping over. If you prefer, you could use ranch dip or other favorites.
  4. Add a variety of thinly sliced vegetables. We used celery, carrots, and red and yellow bell peppers.
