Monday, Sept. 16, to Sunday, Sept. 22

This annual festival celebrating street art brings together 40 local and international artists—and this year, the roster is primarily female. Watch Lauren YS, Kris Goto and Punky Aloha, among others, paint murals at Farrington High School, Kalihi Kai Elementary and Pu‘uhale Elementary. You can also attend art exhibitions, talk story sessions and parties throughout the festival. Check the schedule here.

Taste different types of taro, learn to pound poi, drink kava, listen to speakers, shop from local vendors, enjoy cultural performances and get hands-on with keiki activities. Save time by pre-registering for the event.

Saturday, Sept. 14, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Watch teams of local architects and engineers build dynamic 3-D structures made entirely of canned goods. Keiki can also construct their own creations from 10 a.m. to noon. Then cast your vote for a People’s Choice Award winner through Saturday, Sept. 21. Afterwards, the canned food will be donated to the Hawai‘i Foodbank!

This beloved event is finally back in person after running virtually for the past four years! Boots ‘N’ Beers

Get your country on at this first-ever music and craft beer festival on the Great Lawn at Bishop Museum. Listen to acts from Nashville, Dallas and Hawai‘i, go line dancing and sample exotic brews and seltzers.
