Talk Story Festival

Spend your Friday pau hana in Kaka‘ako at this celebration of oral tradition and urban art. Explore the surrounding street murals, watch a live painting demonstration at 5 p.m. and listen to a speakers’ panel at 6 p.m. featuring local artists and public art advocates, including Jasper Wong of World Wide Walls and Solomon Enos, a Native Hawaiian artist, illustrator and visionary, among others.

Give a chee-hoo for young ‘ukulele contestants as they play their hearts out and compete in four keiki and youth divisions. The first-place winner in each category will receive a koa ‘ukulele and an invitation to perform on stage at the iconic Duke’s Waikīkī restaurant.
