Returning with 100-plus mostly Native Hawaiian-owned businesses, the Ho‘omau Market takes place this weekend. Founded by Kailee Freitas, who also helms the MahinaMade clothing and lifestyle brand, the popular event is designed to perpetuate Hawaiian culture, values, language and people and showcases businesses from O‘ahu, Hawai‘i Island, Maui, Kaua‘i and Moloka‘i. It also boasts a stellar lineup of live local entertainers and giveaways. And each year, a portion of the event’s proceeds are donated to Native Hawaiian nonprofits and organizations.
