AC Hotel by Marriott Honolulu (also known as AC HOTEL HONOLULU) celebrated its grand opening on Saturday, March 2 in the heart of downtown Honolulu. Over 300 guests arrived to experience the transformation of the historic 1111 Bishop Street address’ on the corner of Hotel Street which in addition to 112- modern, efficient guestrooms, conference services and wellness amenities (all without any resort fees, btw), is now considered a must-experience ‘executive playground’ offering three new distinctive food and beverage experiences in one location including: Common Ground (Bougie Bodega with Aloha, The Dotted Line at AC Kitchen and AC Lounge (Breakfast, Lunch, Pau Hana, Dinner, Cocktails) and Yours Truly (Bar, Lounge and Tiki Speakeasy).
 
The celebration began with The Chang Family welcoming Governor Josh Green to see the new hotel first-hand, and as guests arrived to complimentary valet and a red carpet, they were greeted with lei, signature cocktails and passed appetizers including Falafel Bao, Deviled Egg with Caviar, Confit Pork Belly, and endless stations of Sushi, Suckling Pua’a, Hamachi Crudo, Sliders and Mala Chicken Bites. 
 
March 2 also happened to be the actual birthday of Continental Assets Management’s Executive Lead and Project Visionary, Patricia Moad Chang who celebrated with her entire family who own AC Hotel by Marriott Honolulu, managed by Highgate Hotels. Chinese Calligrapher Ina Chang provided custom bookmarks with guest names, Kristin from A Cake Life created a stunning multi-tier red and gold birthday cake with hand crafted lotus blooms, bamboo, gold coins all signifying culture, family, prosperity, good fortune and legacy for Honolulu’s community. Guests took home AC Totes with an Executive Suite Perks VIP Card, a Membership to the Hawaii Theatre, Lifestyle essentials from ManaUp Hawaii, Complimentary Water from Mananalu by Jason Mamoa.
 

The evening celebration included an opening Blessing by Kumu Hina, Chinese Lion Dance and firecrackers by Gee Yung Martial Arts Dragon & Lion Dance Sports Association, entertainment by DJ Anit, Vance and Star Kalahiki.
