Celebrate Hawai‘i’s First 808 Day at “Beyond Van Gogh”

What makes Hawai‘i so special? HONOLULU wants to celebrate everything that makes our state so great with the first-ever 808 Day, an annual celebration of Hawai‘i starting this Aug. 8, 2021. The inaugural 808 Day takes place at “Beyond Van Gogh: An Immersive Experience,” where guests who have purchased tickets for that day can enjoy coloring contest stations for keiki courtesy of Hawai‘i Dental Service, live music and more! Every attendee will also receive a complimentary HONOLULU Magazine summer issue, which includes our annual Best of HONOLULU list of the best places to eat, shop and play around the island.
Stop by the gift shop after the exhibit to shop exclusive “Beyond Van Gogh” Hawai‘i merch—including a limited-edition T-shirt collab with local brand VH07V Revolution, Van Gogh inspired candles from Jules and Gem, jewelry collection from Pure Joy—and more!
808 Day Giveaway

Event Line Up:
8:30–9:30 a.m.: Yoga with Yoga Room Hawai‘i
10 a.m.–noon: Iona Contemporary Dance Theatre
11 a.m.– 4:00 p.m.: Pop-up merchandise booth in the lobby of the Hawai‘i Convention Center
2–4 p.m.: Balloon animals by Balloon Monsoon
4–5 p.m.: Dance performance by Torch Entertainment
6–7:45 p.m.: Taimane Gardner
A timed entry ticket is needed to enter the exhibit and enjoy the added programming.
